1. Zero to One – By Peter Theil
This books is my personal favourite, and I would highly recommend you to read this one. The writer of this books Peter Theil, is himself an entrepreneur and investor. He started Paypal in 1998, led it as a CEO, and later in 2002 he made it public, later in 2004 he made his first outside investment in Facebook and he has also funded some of the major companies in the world, like Airbnb, linkedin, yelp and many more the list goes on.
Talking about the book, the author Peter Theil begins with the contrarian premise that we live in the age of technological stagnation, even if we are too distracted by shiny mobile devices to notice. Information technology has improved rapidly, but there is no reason why progress should be limited to computers or silicon valley. Progress can be achieved in any industry or area of business. It comes from the most important skill that every leader must master: learning to think of yourself
He also mention a very important point that: the next Bill Gates will not build an operating system. The next Larry page or Sergey Brin won’t make the next search engine. Copying others takes the world from 0 to n, adding more something familiar. But when you do something new, you go from 0 to 1. He also says that, tomorrow’s champions will not win by ruthlessely in todays marketplace; they will escape competition all together, because their businesses will be Unique.
Zero to One presents at once an optimistic view of the future progress and new way of thinking about innovation: it starts by learning to ask the questions that lead you to find value in unexpected places.
2. The Lean Startup – by Eric Ries
From the name, it must be very clear to you that, this book basically focuses on startups. Ries defines a startup as an “Organisation designed to create something new under conditions of extreme uncertainity.”. In this book he Focuses on technology, especially software startups.
The book is basically divided in three parts:
In the vision this book lays out the framework, defines an entrepreneur and asks you to put down your hypothesis which will get you towards validating learning. In steer the book tells about you can get the hypothesis and learning to a MVP and put a framework to measure progress. It also tells you, how you can measure progress to decide on perverse or pivot decisions. In short it talks about techniques to speed up the build-measure-learn feedback loop, and how you can grow your startup faster.
3. The Power of Subconscious Mind by – Dr. Joseph Murphy
This book was published way back in 1963, this book is written by Dr. Joseph Murphy. This book reviews many examples and real life case studies explaining how the subconscious mind can directly affect your success, wealth, health and relationships. The strategies, concepts and techniques taught in this book can be boiled to one word “Thoughts”. The main idea of this book is that we can achieve anything we want as long as our beliefs are, keep in mind that this is different to wishful thinking, affirmations and law of attraction.

4. Think And Grow Rich – by Napoleon Hill
This book is written by Napoleon Hill, he wrote this book because he was inspired by thousands of business magnets of that time. This book is my all time favorite since I was able to connect myself to most of the content written in this book.
You will be surprised to know that, this book was suggested to be taught in the high schools, and no student should be allowed to graduate before understanding this book.
If you ask 10 people around you, about what they want in their life the most probable answer would be – Security, financial freedom, good job, new house, etc. And these broad terms will have no definite plan to achieve what they want but many of us won’t know how to do it. If you have the same wish and dream but don’t know how to do it then this book is for you.
Talking of the content in this book, believe me it is very simple and easy to understand, but if you understand it properly than this book will do wonders for you. This book is divided into 13 easy-understandable chapters. Many of the modern age self help Guru’s and speakers have applied the concepts of this book and have made millions in the process.
Therefore if you are looking for the science of success and accumulating riches and wealth, then look no further than this book.
5. Rich Dad Poor Dad – by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter
“It’s not how much money you make. It’s how much money you invest”, this is one of the mine favourite quote from this book. This book is for those who want to know how to grow their money.
The main focus of this book is on financial literacy, financial literacy is very important thing in our practical life, and it’s very sad that the art of Financial literacy is not taught in our education System. Financial literacy plays a very important role in determining, how fast you earn from your investment and develop extra source of income for you.
After reading this book I developed an interest towards learning financial literacy. This book clearly says that, poor work for money whereas money works for the rich people.
Liabilities and Assets are one of the most discussed terms in this book, this book focusses on how to grow you assets and reduce your liabilities.
I think every one should read this book, because in the current scenario, we can see that people are investing large amount of money on fancy thing, which they don’t require, like fancy Smartphones, luxury cars and many other unnecessary things, which increases the liabilities of the people and later they are in a position, where they work day and night just to repay their loans.
